The Mission of Significant Matters
Significant Matters exists to connect those who want to help with those who want help.
Significant Matters was formed in 2005 as a Christian-based, not-for-profit organization with a focus on building bridges between people and organizations with resources and those with needs. Our strategy has been to work through short-term projects as a way to develop relationships and create sustainable partnerships that will change lives and bring social, spiritual, physical, educational and economic transformation to communities close to home and around the world. To date our efforts have been within the greater Kansas City area, Chicago, the Philippines, South Africa and the Gulf Coast region. The scope of our work to date includes medical services to the underinsured of Johnson County, Bible translation, school scholarships for children in the Philippines, disaster relief in the Gulf Coast, housing for single moms, AIDS & Orphanage work, racial reconciliation efforts and sports ministry for inner-city youth.
